About the Can-Am Cars
The Canadian-American Challenge Cup had virtually no rules on engine size or aerodynamics. Porsche 917-30 produced over 1,500 hp in qualifying trim. Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme dominated early. The series produced the most powerful racing cars of their era. Mark Donohue called it the unlimited series.
